The Area: Mountains
The Sierra Ferrer mountains near Tarbena (25 minutes drive south of Casa en el Campo)
Spain is the second most mountainous country in Europe after Switzerland. This part of the Costa Blanca is particularly mountainous which makes for very rugged and beautiful scenery which provides fantastic opportunities for walking, climbing or simply for enjoying the views. From certain vantage points on a clear day it is easily possible to see the dramatic white cliffs of Ibiza 60km to the west.
