The rugged mountains of the Costa Blanca offer a wonderful landscape of pinnacled ridges, enormous crags and shady pines. Orange and almond groves enhance the valleys, whilst attractive mountain villages provide hospitality, offering a real Spanish experience.
In his book - the Cicerone Guide 'Mountain Walks on the Costa Blanca' - Bob Stansfield says "when I did eventually discover the mountains of Las Marinas, it was love at first site". He goes on to compare walking here favourably with The Lake District and even the Alps.
There are plenty of well marked walks for all tastes and skill levels. A climb up 'Montgo' is a must where, on a clear early morning, you can watch the sun rise over Ibiza 60km out to the west.
In our local village, walks are organised every Sunday morning. These walks vary in difficulty and always offer spectacular views and memorable sights.
